InnerOptic Efficacy Study Presented at the AHPBA 2009

Miami Beach, FL (March 12-14, 2009) – Dr. Martinie (Carolinas Medical Center) presented a study and poster, titled “Advanced Imaging Guided System Improved Accuracy of Needle Placement in Hepatic Tumors” at the American Hepato Pancreatico Biliary Association (AHPBA). The scientific study, conducted at the Carolina's Medical Center, verified that the InVision System improved surgeon accuracy and reduced needle placement "hit" times for needle-based procedures, such as ablations and biopsies.

InnerOptic demonstrated the InVision System on the exhibit floor with our ultrasound system partners, BK Medical and Aloka. Shown below is a picture of Sharif demoing IVS to Dr. Martinie and his daughters…needless to say, John’s daughter was able to “stick” the tumor on the first try! Dr. Iannitti is presenting a similar poster at the SAGES conference in April.
